About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes ensuring NCECF compliance
- Oversee bank, general ledger, petty cash, and inventory reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and KPIs to identify trends and risks
- Deliver financial analysis and variance explanations to executive leadership
- Coach, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate governance
- Coordinate external audit activities and serve as the primary finance contact
- Implement process improvements and automation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Supervisory or people management experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or NCECF
- Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting cycles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Maximo, or Dayforce)
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA designation
- Manufacturing industry experience
