Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Support various aspects of the accounting and reporting process for the AWS Supply Chain team
• Maintain end-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners
• Lead the delivery of accounting tasks, projects, and monthly book closing activities
• Design and assess internal controls to support emerging and growing business activities
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive organizational change
• Enhance partnerships between accounting, finance, tax, trade compliance, and IT groups
• Research, conclude, and memorialize technical accounting position papers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in multiple finance and accounting roles

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience in accounting management within a Big Four firm serving Fortune 500 clients
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, or Essbase
• Proficiency with financial systems such as Oracle or SAP
• Proven track record of solving complex business challenges through accurate financial modeling and analysis
• Experience identifying root causes of data inaccuracies and implementing escalation plans
