Accounting Intern

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely entry in the accounting system
• Assist with three-way matching and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal teams
• Prepare weekly AP aging reports and support payment runs via ACH, checks, and wires
• Generate customer invoices and record payments; monitor AR aging and assist with collections
• Support month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit documentation
• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the accounting department

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, accruals)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VLOOKUP and pivot tables a plus
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
