About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets operations, including vendor master data, invoice processing, and multi-currency expense allocation.
  • Record and maintain fixed asset transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation across multiple locations.
  • Oversee the VAT refund process and maintain communication with the Mexican Ministry of Treasury.
  • Coordinate monthly accounting closings, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Administer and optimize ERP system modules and lead accounting unit projects, such as expense reporting tool implementations.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, providing daily guidance and task prioritization.
  • Support internal and external audits by validating and tracking required financial information.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and policies to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with ERP system implementation.
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2 level).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
