About the role
Responsibilities
- Compile and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, to substantiate business transactions
- Track invoice due dates to ensure timely payments and utilize early payment discounts
- Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions into the accounts payable subsidiary ledger
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances due
- Prepare checks for vendor disbursement and maintain organized records of invoices, statements, and reports
- Distribute student refund or employee reimbursement checks and mail remaining vendor payments
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Two years of accounts payable experience
- Two years of bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of computerized accounts payable systems
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
