Accounting Controller

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, receivable, billing, general ledger, and fixed assets
• Direct and supervise the accounting team, providing proactive coaching and development opportunities
• Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate journal entries, cost recording, and account reconciliations
• Oversee variance analysis and investigate expense fluctuations to determine root causes and solutions
• Collaborate with budget owners and stakeholders to produce accurate internal management and financial reporting
• Drive continuous process improvements through digital technology and ERP platform (JDE) enhancements
• Partner with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and regulatory compliance
• Maintain department KPIs and ensure strict adherence to internal control policies

Requirements

• CPA, CMA, or a Master's degree in Accounting
• Proven manufacturing experience
• Managerial experience within a large organization (>$100M revenue)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, including revenue recognition and lease accounting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work on-site in Philadelphia, PA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Proficiency with JDE, OneStream, and Business Objects
