Accounting Co-op

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including validating, recording, and communicating with business partners
• Set up new vendors in company systems
• Review internal expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations
• Record bank transactions and apply payments to invoices
• Prepare intercompany journal entries and assist with month-end reconciliations for cash and fixed assets
• Update process documentation to memorialize accounting policies and internal procedures
• Pull sample requests for auditors and assist with ad-hoc projects

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program for a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Completion of fundamental accounting courses
• Practical general accounting experience in a professional or volunteer setting
• High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Workspace/G-Suite
• Ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a CPA designation
