About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable using bookkeeping software
  • Receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers, and reconcile bank account statements
  • Handle payroll, process purchases, prepare invoices, and track overdue accounts
  • Produce financial reports, including profit and loss statements, financial statements, and balance sheets
  • Keep management informed through regular presentations and reports
  • Maintain accuracy and prevent fraud by frequently auditing figures and reports

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an accounting or bookkeeping clerk
  • High school diploma (mandatory); accounting coursework from an accredited institution is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices, and terminology
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of integrity
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
