About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable using bookkeeping software
- Receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers, and reconcile bank account statements
- Handle payroll, process purchases, prepare invoices, and track overdue accounts
- Produce financial reports, including profit and loss statements, financial statements, and balance sheets
- Keep management informed through regular presentations and reports
- Maintain accuracy and prevent fraud by frequently auditing figures and reports
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an accounting or bookkeeping clerk
- High school diploma (mandatory); accounting coursework from an accredited institution is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices, and terminology
