Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Track customer payments and vendor invoices
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Monitor company spending and assist with budget tracking
• Track inventory related to operational supplies
• Prepare and file sales tax reports
• Work with external accounting and tax professionals during tax season
• Support cost control initiatives and profitability analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
• 0–2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Valid driver's license
