Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly journal entries using Blackbaud Financial Edge
• Process all student billings through the Blackbaud Tuition Management system
• Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable entries and update vendor records
• Process monthly credit card activity and prepare cash transaction entries
• Support semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll by incorporating HR updates, including 403(b) and benefit deductions
• Reconcile data between Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge platforms
• Assist with the reconciliation of cash accounts and maintain financial records
• Support and advance the Catholic and Jesuit mission of the school

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role, ideally in the nonprofit or education sector
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge or other specialized accounting software
