Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions and prepare short- to mid-term cash flow forecasts
• Support funding execution, bank borrowings, and short-term investment activities
• Track loan balances, interest accruals, and related payments
• Review accounting records and reconcile financial data
• Prepare financial reports and reporting packages for management and headquarters
• Assist with monthly tax-related entries and annual tax support documentation
• Coordinate audit requests and prepare necessary schedules
• Validate payroll reports and process employee reimbursements and expenses
• Manage corporate card reconciliations and recurring operating expenses
• Support business registrations, license renewals, and regulatory filings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting, finance, or audit experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, lending, treasury, or corporate accounting
• Exposure to audit, tax support, payroll, or regulatory reporting
• Experience with intercompany transactions and headquarters reporting
• Japanese/English bilingual skills
• Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks
