Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Support the client onboarding process and engage in client acquisition and retention initiatives.
• Organize and update digital and physical financial records.
• Execute accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping entries, and monthly closing processes.
• Prepare financial reporting, analysis, and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare and file Corporate and Individual Income Tax Returns.
• Prepare year-end audit schedules and support the audit process.
• Assist in systems and spreadsheet automation to improve accounting efficiency.
• Collaborate with managers and team members to ensure timely delivery and high-quality service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area (Master's degree is a plus).
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven experience in preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Proficiency in accounting software with at least 2 years of experience.
• Fluency in both Turkish and English.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA qualification or currently on a CPA track.
• Relevant certifications such as EA, Turkish CPA, or ACCA.
• Previous experience working within a CPA firm.
• Experience with international tax matters.
