Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately and in a timely manner according to established procedures
• Reconcile invoices and statements of accounts while investigating any discrepancies
• Post accounting journal transactions following double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Create and record aging reports and oversee the monthly preparation of financial statements
• Manage customer relationships by providing daily support regarding their financial packages
• Implement procedure documentation to ensure internal controls and operational efficiency
• Proactively identify service delivery issues and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Shared Service Center

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 1-2 years of professional accounting experience
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and an understanding of UAE VAT
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet key deadlines and operate effectively under demanding timelines
• Prior experience with ERP systems (e.g., ZOHO) is beneficial

Preferred Qualifications

• Part or fully qualified professional accounting designation from a recognized body
