Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide transactional accounting, general financial management analysis, and financial reporting to Embassy management and Bureaus.
• Utilize financial tools such as RFMS, Global BI/COAST, and GFMS to record and monitor transactions.
• Develop accurate ICASS budgets and workload counts in collaboration with embassies and external organizations.
• Prepare financial plans and budgets using Department of State-approved tools including WebICASS, WebRabit, and OBO/RPA.
• Fund procurement actions and grants using ILMS/Ariba and SAMS.
• Monitor staff travel advances and ensure the prompt resolution of advances and closing of travel orders.
• Perform periodic reviews of the Status of Funds and Status of Obligations for accuracy and validate unliquidated obligations.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain or maintain an MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) clearance.
• BA/BS degree in financial management, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience in Financial Management at an overseas post (e.g., embassy or consulate).
• Strong understanding of the ICASS process.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Department of State financial management is highly desired.
