Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process payments in a timely manner
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist in reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies
• Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems
• Organize and track receipts, invoices, and other financial documents
• Support audits by gathering necessary documentation
• Assist with month-end closing activities
• Perform ad hoc analysis and participate in special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy
• Eligibility to work in the USA without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP 4 HANA and Concur
• Experience in the retail electric industry
• Working knowledge of deregulated energy markets in ERCOT, PJM, and NYISO
