Accountant

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's billing efforts and manage complex invoicing for international development programs
• Set up new projects in Microsoft SL, including labor categories for time and material efforts
• Process large and complex invoices and maintain the billing tracker
• Monitor fixed-price deliverable contracts to ensure prompt invoicing
• Reconcile unbilled balances monthly and investigate aged unbilled amounts
• Perform monthly AR and unbilled reconciliations to the General Ledger
• Monitor AR aging and ensure appropriate follow-up with clients
• Coordinate billing activities with programmatic staff and provide direction to the Billing Clerk
• Monitor quarterly reporting requirements and ensure finance data is provided to project staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proven experience with Time and Material, Fixed Price, and Cost Plus Fixed Fee billing
• Experience billing USG clients (USAID experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain a professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with Microsoft SL
