Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge accurate Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) in compliance with ATO regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients using Xero and Dext.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and supplier reconciliations.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and tax teams to ensure ledger integrity and smooth financial operations.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports to provide clients with actionable insights.
• Provide payroll support and act as a primary point of contact for clients' day-to-day accounting needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Australian Accounting.
• Proficiency in Xero and Dext.
• Proven experience with BAS and IAS lodgements.
• Strong knowledge of ATO regulations and Australian regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, tech-enabled environment.
