Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned companies within the ERP system
• Manage the approval flow of all invoices through the procurement system
• Check intercompany balances and ensure all relevant agreements are in place before processing payments
• Maintain accuracy of accounts payable and communicate with suppliers as needed
• Monitor supplier costs and report variances over time
• Execute payments in accordance with Group payment dates
• Build monthly cash planning and ensure adherence to the plan
• Prepare monthly VAT returns, quarterly reports, and statistical filings
• Propose and initiate improvements for the ERP system

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional accounting experience
• Native or near-native German language proficiency
• Excellent English communication skills
• Completed apprenticeship in a relevant field
• Proven experience using ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
