Accountant

Responsibilities

• Settle plant or gathering assets and ensure the integrity of accounting records within the NG & NGL organization.
• Collect, compile, analyze, and verify financial data to resolve discrepancies and ensure record accuracy.
• Prepare analysis and schedules to support financial statements, including creating journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
• Identify process efficiencies and recommend improvements to standards and workflows.
• Ensure successful completion of internal and external audits and maintain proper execution of controls.
• Support accounting processes by addressing business requirements and system enhancements.
• Document and maintain internal procedures and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two years of professional Accounting or Finance experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• One to three years of experience within the oil and gas industry.
• Hands-on experience with SAP accounting software.
• An Accounting-specific degree.
