Accountant

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including customer receipt application and account clearing
• Conduct customer credit assessments and manage order release processes in collaboration with credit agencies
• Prepare AR aging reports and partner with sales teams to resolve long-outstanding receivables
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
• Ensure timely and accurate property tax filings and monitor cash flow activities
• Perform month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and analyze operating expense variances
• Provide guidance on T&E policies and oversee expense audits via Concur
• Prepare financial managerial reports for leadership to support decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other major ERP platforms
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, specifically familiarity with Japan and US GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• Accounting certifications or relevant vocational training
• Experience working within an international business environment
