Accountant II

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations in compliance with SOX requirements
• Support month-end internal and external reporting
• Assist with annual physical inventory and annual audit processes, including interim testing
• Prepare and file state sales tax returns and maintain necessary records
• Enter and apply AR payments in Great Plains
• Track CIP projects status and maintain fixed asset listings
• Collect receipts and record monthly credit card activity
• Complete US Census surveys as required
• Cross-train on various departmental duties to support team needs and prepare for future growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 3-5 years of professional accounting experience
• High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

• Experience working with Great Plains
