Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with Indian accounting standards
• Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and GST requirements
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
• Collaborate with departments to streamline financial processes
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and GST regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or CMA
