Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare House Profit Analyses and review gross profit margins for sales contracts
• Review job costs for budget variances, cost code errors, and invoice posting errors
• Conduct monthly close procedures and ensure all deadlines are met
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and post bank deposits
• Process property tax payments and monthly amortization
• Monitor fixed asset purchases, capitalization, and depreciation
• Prepare various weekly and monthly reports, including Sales, Back Charge, and Production reports
• Review SG&A expenses, employee reimbursements, and HOA financials
• Prepare journal entries and conduct ad hoc financial analyses as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university
• 3-5 years of related accounting experience or training
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to process large volumes of data accurately
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and email
• Ability to travel overnight if required

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred
