Accountant - Business Services

Responsibilities

• Prepare a range of financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards
• Prepare clear and concise work papers and management accounts
• Prepare income tax, FBT, and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Perform tax planning and prepare tax returns for all entities
• Identify noncompliance issues arising from tax returns
• Provide advice to clients regarding business operations and regulatory matters
• Supervise junior staff on specific engagements as appropriate
• Manage general business administration tasks

Requirements

• CA or CPA qualification (or partly completed)
• 1 to 2 years of experience in Business Services or Tax, ideally within a mid-tier firm
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Xero
• Knowledge of SAP
