Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including vendor payments and customer invoicing
• Conduct monthly and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Generate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards (UAE GAAP) and VAT reporting requirements
• Support internal and external audits by providing timely documentation and financial data explanations
• Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
• Collaborate with department heads to support budgeting and planning initiatives
• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–3 years of proven experience in accounting
• Strong understanding of UAE accounting standards (UAE GAAP) and VAT regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain high ethical standards
