Accountant

Responsibilities

• Create and execute operational plans for the district in coordination with the District Manager
• Complete tax returns in offices according to targets set during tax season
• Support recruitment and onboarding by reviewing applications and managing employee documentation
• Assist with Tax Training School activities, including marketing, office setup, and class facilitation
• Identify opportunities to increase client capacity based on demand and staff availability
• Support the field with client escalations and Field Support Centre processes
• Provide general administrative and operational support as directed by the District Manager

Requirements

• Strong tax knowledge and proficiency in Access Tax, Access Tax Practice Manager, and Handitax software
• High level of computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and time management abilities
• Current Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for visiting district offices
• Flexibility regarding work hours to support office needs
• Ability to work professionally and remain customer-focused
