Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Assist Financial Manager with budgets and forecasts
• Manage the general ledger through to the trial balance
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends and improve performance
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash forecasts
• Liaise with Department Managers for value-added variance analysis
• Load, authorize, and approve bank payments
• Conduct sales analysis by product and user
• Compile ad-hoc reports as requested
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet line items
• Manage the audit process with external auditing firms
• Handle payroll management and administration

Requirements

• BCom/BAcc Finance/Accounting degree
• SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA membership or completed article clerkship
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with various banking platforms
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Xero, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Online, or QuickBooks
• Basic understanding of API, AI, and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the Tech or Hosting environment
