Account Trainee (Event Assistant)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Event Director with day-to-day preparation and execution of the SAS Championship HBCU Invitational
• Create and distribute communications to athletes and coaches
• Manage tournament merchandise and inventory
• Assist with hotel and transportation logistics for athletes and coaches
• Coordinate food and beverage needs with the venue
• Support the marketing and communications coordinator with social media posts and announcements
• Assist with the coordination of Career Day and Champions Cookout Q&A sessions
• Provide operational support to the Operations Director for on-course needs
• Compile the HBCU Invitational overview report at the conclusion of the event

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Polished written and oral communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and internet research
• Extreme organization and the ability to multi-task under strict timelines
• Ability to travel domestically (0-15%) and work weekends or holidays as needed
• A strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in sports and event management
