Account Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support Account Managers and Account Executives on large, complex client accounts by preparing coverage comparisons, submissions, and premium/rate comparisons
• Interact with clients via written or verbal communication regarding special program needs and new assignments
• Perform loss analysis and related tasks including invoicing, trending, tracking, and reconciliation
• Manage assigned special client needs such as allocation spreadsheets for specific lines of coverage or entities
• Utilize Agency Management Systems (AMS) to maintain detailed account information, including uploading policies and inputting schedules
• Review certificate of insurance requests and provide direction regarding invoicing, policy processing, and customized Auto ID cards
• Handle general tasks including endorsement processing, billing, and reviewing notices of cancellation
• Work independently to lead special project assignments and provide proactive problem-solving solutions

Requirements

• Applicable experience in the insurance industry
• Achieved general insurance designation (pursuing additional designations is preferred)
• Proficiency with MS Office products, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data completeness standards within an AMS
• Excellent project and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to travel up to 10%
