About the role

Responsibilities

  • Drive field sales of Cognex’s Vision Solutions to end users, partners, and OEMs within a defined territory.
  • Forecast and close vision solution opportunities while ensuring the entire sensor portfolio is sold vertically in strategic accounts.
  • Conduct product and solution demonstrations at customer sites to effectively showcase capabilities.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for "Most Wanted Accounts."
  • Collaborate with Sensor Sales Engineers, OEM Sales Managers, and Applications Engineering teams to win large strategic opportunities.
  • Evangelize Cognex products to partners to increase mindshare and selling time.
  • Maintain and continuously update project information within salesBook.
  • Follow up on sales leads, customer inquiries, and system requirements to differentiate Cognex solutions.

Requirements

  • Technical Degree or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 3+ years of proven sales experience with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling technical products specifically to engineers and production managers.
  • Proven track record of operating within a solutions sales environment, ideally in the automation industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a defined territory.
