About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive sales of Cognex's ID and Vision product portfolio within an assigned territory, targeting end-users and machine builders.
- Maximize booking performance and exceed sales quotas by implementing effective territory management and account strategies.
- Build and maintain a 12–24-month pipeline of qualified, complex business opportunities.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Conduct product demonstrations, assess customer applications, and deliver on-site technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on support for system programming and configuration post-sale to ensure successful implementation.
- Collaborate with Territory Sales Engineers, OEM Sales Engineers, and integration partners to ensure strategic account coverage.
- Manage weekly forecasts and utilize CRM tools to track sales execution and market insights.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of technical sales experience, ideally within the automation or a related industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or Business field (non-STEM candidates must pass a technical aptitude test).
- Proven expertise in solution-based selling and managing long-term, intricate projects.
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese.
- Must reside in Portugal.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently in a field sales environment with frequent travel (up to 20% overnight).
