Account Receivable Accountant

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile AR, notes receivable, and cheques to ensure records match sub-ledgers.
• Review monthly ageing reports and flag customers exceeding credit limits or terms.
• Set and track monthly collection goals in coordination with the AR Controller.
• Perform daily follow-ups with customers via email, calls, and site visits to ensure timely payments.
• Post payments to customer ledgers and obtain regular balance confirmations.
• Prepare daily reports on outstanding amounts and forecast collections for the upcoming 4 months.
• Manage slow-paying accounts and ensure invoices are properly stamped and cheques collected.
• Support month-end AR closing activities and identify doubtful debts.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably within a large FMCG company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel formulas (mandatory).
• Experience as an ERP super-user (SAP, Oracle, or M3); experience with FOCUS is a plus.
• Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to manage a high volume of credit customers (50+).

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting certification such as CMA or CPA.
• Previous experience in the food trading or FMCG sector.
