Account Manager

Responsibilities

• Build effective partnerships with key customers and act as the primary contact for operational contracted services
• Ensure compliance with customer contracts by monitoring and reporting on route changes and service levels
• Manage customer rate cards and ensure correct invoicing for fuel surcharges and ad hoc rates
• Maintain correct levels of contracted equipment and manning levels
• Monitor customer debtor statements and resolve outstanding payments
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and internal management
• Provide detailed forecasts of customer volumes and analyze performance trends
• Identify and progress new business opportunities within existing accounts
• Conduct quarterly formal meetings with customers to map out short and long-term plans

Requirements

• Proven experience within the Transport & Logistics industry
• Extensive experience in an Account Management role
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Customer-focused approach with ability to work well in teams
• Methodical approach to tasks and relationship building
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
