About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
- Promote TEPEZZA to physicians and healthcare professionals within approved labeling and regulatory guidelines.
- Drive product demand through education on disease states and product information.
- Address issues related to access, pull-through, and reimbursement by coordinating with key stakeholders and matrix teams.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding and communicating customer needs and goals.
- Coordinate between accounts and relevant Amgen field teams to support a full range of account needs.
- Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site of care options.
- Manage efforts within assigned promotional and operational budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales (or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description).
- Proven ability to manage territory accounts and drive product demand.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 80%, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Buy-and-bill experience with documented success or biologic/infusion experience.
- Sales experience in Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, or rare/specialty disease states.
- Experience with site of care, reimbursement, institutions, or integrated delivery networks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a proactive, professional demeanor.
