Account Manager - Oil Sands

Responsibilities

• Grow profit and market share within assigned accounts in the Northern Alberta area using a consultative selling process
• Identify and capture new business opportunities at both existing and prospective accounts
• Proactively plan customer visits and conduct calls to sell company products and services
• Arrange joint calls with Supplier Technical Service Specialists and maintain a high-integrity sampling program
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, and Purchasing to ensure product availability and resolve customer complaints
• Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer information and planning phases
• Travel out of town as required (estimated 4-6 nights per month)

Requirements

• University Degree or College Diploma in a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of outside sales experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and drive results as a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in chemical sales
• Oil Sands sales or technical experience
