Account Manager I, Industrial Water Treatment

Responsibilities

• Shadow and work under the supervision of experienced account managers to learn technical water treatment problem-solving.
• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase market share within an assigned geography.
• Build professional relationships with customers and identify key decision-makers within existing accounts.
• Support senior staff in increasing sales and profit margins through research, cold calling, and strategic questioning.
• Learn to create effective proposals and communicate the ChemTreat value proposition to customers.
• Gradually take on technical tasks, including troubleshooting site-specific process issues and auditing unit operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree; Engineering or a technical degree is preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational, self-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within an assigned territory and work varied schedules.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in industrial environments (including climbing stairs/ladders and wearing PPE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the water treatment industry.
• Familiarity with various industrial water treatment applications.
