Account Manager I

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of an experienced account manager to learn technical water treatment problem-solving and customer selling fundamentals.
• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase market share within an assigned geography.
• Build professional relationships with key decision-makers and customers through research, cold calling, and strategic questioning.
• Support senior staff in increasing sales and profit margins within the territory.
• Learn to create effective proposals and communicate the ChemTreat value proposition.
• Gradually take on technical tasks, including troubleshooting site-specific process issues and auditing unit operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science, Engineering, or a technical degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience interacting with customers at various organizational levels.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational, self-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within an assigned territory and work varied schedules.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds and working in industrial environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in water treatment.
• Industry knowledge specific to water treatment applications.
