About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a sales territory with a focus on acquiring new customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and outreach
- Utilize Salesforce to manage pipeline and track progress
- Create tailored chemical treatment programs for customers
- Survey customer facilities and recommend chemical solutions
- Write persuasive proposals and service reports
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms
- Analyze market trends and competitive activity
Requirements
- 2-5 years of sales experience in the water treatment or chemical industry
- Experience with wastewater treatment, boilers, and cooling towers
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to customers and stay overnight when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, biomolecular, industrial) or life sciences (chemistry, biology, environmental science)
