About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with clients and their key stakeholders to become a trusted partner
- Manage client governance frameworks, including hosting steering committees and performance reviews
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing client accounts
- Take responsibility for tracking and ensuring the achievement of KPIs and targets
- Manage the business aspects of client development, enhancements, and change requests in collaboration with internal teams
- Create and maintain business forecasting models and keep client invoicing up to date
- Collaborate with the sales development team on contract renegotiations and renewals when necessary
Requirements
- 5+ years of account management experience in the financial services industry, preferably in cards, payments, or issuing
- Native-level fluency in Japanese with strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong networking skills to build relationships internally and externally
- Growth mindset and ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced business environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Business-level proficiency in English (reading and writing required; speaking preferred)
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
