Account Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage an existing book of accounts and provide ongoing customer support and service.
• Prospect and cold call potential customers to expand the sweetener and acidulants business.
• Act as the first point of contact for phone and web inquiries, vetting new business opportunities.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM daily to log activities, manage customer notes, and update the sales pipeline.
• Facilitate product samples and technical document requests while capturing all pertinent data.
• Monitor market trends and segment activity to report insights to product management.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial quote to on-time delivery and post-sale service.
• Travel to visit customers and prospects to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relative sales or customer-facing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a science-related field.
• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player.
