Account Executive, Startups

Responsibilities

• Identify new verticals and use cases to penetrate with embedded finance offerings
• Execute outbound sales efforts to potential customers within the startup ecosystem
• Articulate strategic value to customers on how to leverage embedded finance infrastructure
• Onboard new customers and guide them through initial scaling stages on the Airwallex platform
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence and ship strategic product releases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Proven track record of consistent pipeline generation and outbound sales efforts
• Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within venture capital, startup accelerators, or innovation-driven ecosystems
• Proven ability to sell embedded finance solutions (payments, card issuing, BaaS) to Vertical SaaS platforms
• Strong technical sales background with the ability to discuss API-driven solutions with engineering teams
• Experience navigating long, consultative sales cycles with C-level executives
• Strategic mindset with experience identifying growth opportunities and optimizing go-to-market approaches
