About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive territory plans to drive revenue within the State and Local Government (SLED) market
- Drive sales within a defined territory or account list to achieve established revenue targets
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions for Cloudflare services to both technical and non-technical buyers
- Manage contract negotiations and maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key public sector accounts
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling technical solutions or products to the Public Sector (SLED, Federal, or Municipalities)
- Proven experience managing long and complex sales cycles
- Basic understanding of computer networking and how the internet works
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning complex technical concepts and terminology
