Account Executive

Responsibilities

• Win new business across machine shops, precision job shops, and contract manufacturers
• Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, plant visits, quoting, closing, and ongoing account management
• Build deep relationships with shop owners, buyers, programmers, and engineers by walking shop floors
• Manage every account post-sale to ensure long-term retention and growth
• Bring customer feedback back to operations, software, and quality teams to improve service
• Maintain an accurate pipeline in the CRM, logging every conversation and tracking every commitment
• Travel as needed within the region or nationally to meet with customers

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of outside sales experience, ideally selling metals, industrial products, or technical components
• Technical fluency in alloys, tempers, tolerances, and lead times
• Proven ability to hunt for new business while simultaneously managing existing accounts
• Proficiency with CRM systems and modern AI tools to manage workflows
• Ability to travel frequently for field visits and customer site meetings
• High level of organization and precision when managing multiple active opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing book of business within machine shops or contract manufacturing
• Experience selling aluminum, steel, titanium, or other metals into the machining industry
• Background selling tooling, abrasives, or other shop consumables
• Established relationships within the aerospace and defense supply chains
