Account Executive I - Employee Benefits

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing, servicing, and strategic consulting efforts for prospective and current Employee Benefits clients
• Maintain and enhance client relationships through proactive and creative engagement initiatives
• Provide strategic planning and consulting advice, including RFP production, vendor coordination, and recommendation reporting
• Consult with clients on vendor services, fees, strategies, and large claims utilization
• Develop and maintain dependable working relationships with carriers, brokers, and other providers
• Negotiate program terms and costs for new and renewal business
• Mentor and train junior-level staff members
• Research industry trends, product developments, and government regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
• 7+ years of client service experience in a health and welfare or employee benefits environment
• At least 5 years of experience specifically within a consulting or brokerage firm
• Current Life & Health license (or ability to obtain one immediately)
• Strong working knowledge of group benefits, underwriting, and risk management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with experience presenting to clients
