Account Executive

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post accounting entries in accordance with double-entry principles
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments
• Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules
• Ensure transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards
• Liaise with internal departments, auditors, tax agents, and bankers
• Support the compilation of financial data for management reporting
• Assist in analyzing monthly actual financial results against budgets or forecasts
• Support the preparation of management reporting decks and KPI dashboards

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Knowledge of full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations)
• Understanding of basic accounting standards and financial reporting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• Experience supporting audit activities and tax coordination
• Ability to work independently and manage deadline-driven month-end work
• Eligible to work in Malaysia

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Xero
• Exposure to data analysis or visualization tools
