Account Executive, Commercial

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and close a personal pipeline of companies to drive dbt Cloud adoption
• Manage and deepen the dbt Cloud footprint within existing commercial accounts
• Engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers to expand regional reach
• Lead and contribute to internal projects aimed at developing and refining sales processes
• Collaborate with the product team to help maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap

Requirements

• 2+ years of closing experience in technology sales with a proven track record of exceeding targets
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into consultative sales
• Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills for engaging stakeholders from developers to CTOs
• Strong organizational skills to manage long, intricate sales cycles involving multiple teams
• Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
• Experience with SQL or a strong willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, or open-source software
• Direct knowledge of or experience using dbt
• Previous experience selling into the Nordics market
