About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined portfolio of US Small & Medium Enterprise key client relationships to ensure retention and continuous growth.
  • Conduct face-to-face interactions and business travel (50-80% in-market) to engage with the client base.
  • Identify client needs and provide consultative solutions using American Express cash flow and payment products.
  • Proactively uncover up-sell and cross-sell opportunities to increase charge volume and deepen client relationships.
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge regarding products, underwriting, pricing, and internal tools.
  • Adhere strictly to the American Express Code of Conduct and all regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional sales experience.
  • Must reside in the Queens or Long Island territory.
  • Experience working within a highly-regulated industry.
  • Strong relationship management and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to overcome objections and influence key decision-makers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven track record of managing complex client portfolios and driving volume growth.
