Account Executive (Accounting)

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Follow up with clients for monthly subscription payments and ensure timely collections
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and MIS reports for management review
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements, including filing returns
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Support audits by preparing necessary financial documents and schedules

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 1+ year of experience as an Accountant or Account Executive
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian taxation laws
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, Tally, or similar accounting software
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a startup or SaaS environment
• Exposure to subscription billing, recurring revenue, and customer collections
• Experience in MIS reporting and financial analysis
• Understanding of business KPIs and revenue tracking
