Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting work applying bookkeeping practices and principles
  • Compute and maintain daily balances on all operating budget codes and accounts
  • Process and maintain records for requisitions, purchase orders, vouchers, and blanket orders
  • Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on delinquent accounts
  • Prepare contracts and legal notices, and audit vouchers for contract work payments
  • Supervise and participate in auditing and preparing accounts payable payments
  • Serve as a department/division payroll clerk or as a backup payroll clerk

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping work
  • Valid driver's license
