About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting work applying bookkeeping practices and principles
- Compute and maintain daily balances on all operating budget codes and accounts
- Process and maintain records for requisitions, purchase orders, vouchers, and blanket orders
- Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Prepare contracts and legal notices, and audit vouchers for contract work payments
- Supervise and participate in auditing and preparing accounts payable payments
- Serve as a department/division payroll clerk or as a backup payroll clerk
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping work
- Valid driver's license
